Best Dressed

Since Jolly had become a fashion icon, the Professor didn't feel it proper to have him pressing his suits anymore.
The blog is not called The Uncrushable Jersey Dress for nothing. I ran across this post a couple of weeks ago from Vanity Fair about their list for the best dressed and enjoyed it enormously. As an aside, Betty Debbie has a weird, wonderful thing for Bill Nighy (one of the male nominees) who looks like he'd politely push a brassy-haired Veronica out of the door of his employer's Georgian row home.
Here's his entry:
Bill Nighy
Occupation: Actor. Residence: “London Town.”
Favorite Fashion Purchase of 2015: “Midnight-blue John Smedley ‘Dorset’ wool polo.”
Favorite Item of Clothing: “Margaret Howell classic pale-blue shirt.”
Favorite Accessory: “Margaret Howell dark-blue-and-cream polka-dot silk scarf. And dark-blue Pantherella socks.”
Favorite Scent: “I’ve never got round to that.”
Style Icons: “Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, and Pharrell Williams.”

  1. Bill Nighy—easily the best-dressed of the male set in those pictures. I am sure the Jollys must have a son or nephew somewhere only too willing to step into Jolly's shoes and take over the gentleman's gentleman duties. ;o)

Awful? - The two men in bright blue suits, one of them plaidtartancheck!
My worst nightmares (plural!)? Maxwell Osborne & Dao-Yi Chow - designers - "Wearing their own designs (And welcome to them! ;o) ) in midtown Manhattan", and Nick Wooster - fashion consultant (Really?).

  2. THE BETTY TOUCH – SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST

I was wondering who Francesca Amfitheatrof’s style icon H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned of Qatar was.

Francesca Amfitheatrof was the lady in the first picture. The answer to my question came at the very bottom of the page with the last picture:

H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned of Qatar: In Valentino haute couture at the Nieuwe Kerk, in Amsterdam.
I recognized the lady in the background of that picture, Crown Princess Masako of Japan. The photo was taken at the inauguration ceremony of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, on April 30,2013.
