Decorating With Betty

via email:

Hi Ladies!

I'm getting my house ready to sell because we're moving from Idaho to Texas. Thought I'd show you how I'm using my Betty Neels collection to stage the shelves in my guest room.
Feel free to share. Have a great day!

  2. We're moving to Austin. Well, technically Cedar Park, but my husband works in Austin.

And let me tell you ladies, it worked! House sold in one day! I'm sure it was the GBN collection ...

    :D

  4. Congrats on the fast sale. I am just North of Dallas, could we three be spread any further apart on the map? LOL

  5. Did you do all your own staging? It looks lovely. Congratulations on the sale, and good luck with the move.

I am flying to gosh-darn Texas for this tea party, remember. So look forward to it!

    1. I did do all of the staging myself. I watch a lot of HGTV. ;) Some friends helped me a whole lot over the last month to fix up and clean and pack, and the place looks like a model home. I'm probably enjoying it more right now than I have the whole eight years I've lived here! :)

    2. One of the reasons I love to entertain is because the house gets so beautiful. Say we have people for dinner on Saturday, then on Sunday I just want to swan about the place, draping myself semi-gracefully across the divan (it's a sofa most of the time) and nibbling on endive leaves with whipped cream, or whatever's left over. Betty's industrious heroines, cleaning daily regardless of whether company's expected, are beyond my ken.

    3. I agree, I think one of the best ways to keep your house clean is to entertain regularly. That said, do I actually do it? No. :)
