Question of the Week

In Hannah, when our heroine is taken on a home tour of the fabulously lavish mansion occupied by Uncle Valentijn M.D., R.D.D., she remarks that it must have been built by someone with a very large family.
"Twelve children, so I'm told and they all lived to a good age..."
"I like families," declared Hannah. "I expect that's because I'm an only one myself."

It is no secret that The Founding Bettys come from a large family. But the Father of all Bettys?--He was an only--except for his little sister. Aunt Sheila is 7 years younger than Dad (Thank you Axis Powers!) and he longed for lots of children to offset all that dreary and tedious spoiling.

So, my question is...what factor did your family size have on the one you have now?

  1. A foolish assumption that if my parents could do it, so could I.
