It was a bright, sunny day and not too warm and the journey there wasn't too arduous. The Nidras* Cathedral loomed before them, its dark granite exterior almost forbidding. It was dark inside too, but its beautiful windows softened the darkness to a dim peace which Becky found soothing as well as awe-inspiring.--The Promise of Happiness
