Not today.
As next Monday is Christmas Eve, and the following Monday is New Year's Eve, Betty Keira and I are going to take a break. I plan on spending as much time as possible over the next couple of weeks holding my newest grandchild and Betty Keira has plenty of little pledges of affection to keep her busy too.
Betty van den Betsy may (or may not) post during the interim.
I will be checking in, so if any of you (our dear, dear Bettys) have anything you would like to post, feel free to send it along, via email, and I'll be happy to post it for you.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I always meant to ask, are those Red Tulips in the Snow? Red tulips are on special at one of the grocery stores this week. Hm. There's a thought... I meant to get a white Christmas cactus, but haven't got around to it, yet. That is, I only saw teency weency ones that looked like nothing much.
DeleteYes a little surprise powdery snow after the tulips bloomed, I drove by there less than two hours after I took the photo and all the snow had blown away.

Good thing you were there before the snow had been blown away. The tulips look very pretty in the snow. Red, white and green - the Christmas colours.
DeleteA well-deserved rest! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little bundle of joy! This may be pure imagination on my part, but I think he looks a bit like you, Betty Debbie. Enjoy holding him!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to all and congratulations on beautiful Henry :)
ReplyDeleteDarling boy! And Dr. van der Stevejink looks just as a doting grandpa ought. Children may Ruin Everything, but while they're at it they certainly bring a lovely joyful quality to holidays and family get-togethers.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas, Founding Bettys, and the happiest of new years. I shall be popping in from time to time to clear out the spam comments (Britannia has been under serious attack) and further the Favorite Christmas Scene, 2012 vote.
What a precious baby! Look at those chubby cheeks! We have a new baby in our family, too, my nephew's daughter's baby. Is that a great great niece? Her name is Abbie, but my nephew calls her Cupcake. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all of you! Or, as we sometimes say in Texas, have a cool yule, y'all!
Betty AnoninTX
Great-great-niece or great-grandniece. We also have a new baby in the family, my nephew's daughter, my great-niece. I am looking forward to seeing her again on Boxing Day!
DeleteMerry Christmas, everybetty!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!! thanks for the wonderful blog for all the Betty Fans out there - I've been rereading some of them lately and wondering when I'm going to find my own Dutch Professor In Need Of A Wife! :-) Hope none of you get lost in the snow wandering around or saving lost kittens or the like, and that Christmas brings you lashings of whipped cream!!
