Back-to-School

Our Araminta Rose Caroline Comelys always seem to have their hands full with children--either little sisters in need of the always-in-short-supply field hockey sticks or a dorm full of girl's school live-ins that they have to shepherd into good mental health.

Betty Keira has had her own hands full these days. Happily, I finished our school shopping and now all that's left is waiting (with bated breath) until I scoot my fledgelings back into the world.

What preparation have the rest of you engaged in? Homeschooling Bettys? Any field hockey sticks bought?

  1. I bought some glue for 22 cents in July and 2 pair of jeans at Fred Meyer. Homeschooling Bettys have it easy.

  2. Sure, homeschoolers don't have to buy a bunch of stupid school supplies (such as three blue whiteboard markers-which don't come in packs of three...trust me) but just wait until they are teenagers. Two pairs of jeans will not cut it in high school - not when they have extra-curricular activities.

I have a TON of work to do before Wednesday...bulletin boards to decorate, pictures to put up, supplies to sort through, lessons to plan...yikes, I'd better get off the computer and get busy!

    1. Wow, took them long enough to find this photo. Hey, don't get me wrong, as the ex-wife (and good friend) of an intellectual property lawyer, I'm all for not violating anyone's copyright. But there is a concept in the law: sitting on one's rights diminishes the power to enforce those rights. Eighteen months seems like kind of a long time.

    2. Still, easy enough to do...
