Breakfast/brunch will be at The Crumpet Shop at Pike Place Market...I suspect we'll be there around 10am (ish).
Formal Afternoon Tea at Queen Mary Tea Room (just north of the University of Washington). Our reservations are for 2pm (I know, I know, that's early for afternoon tea, but Betty Keira and Betty Kylene will be driving back to Portland that evening).
Oh how I wish I could come!! I want to wear day gloves and a hat.
ReplyDeleteI love how the two ladies entering the Queen Mary are wearing the de rigeur outfit for the greater Northwest--denim jeans and Colombia Sportswear fleece--perfect for the office, leaf raking or the opera!
ReplyDeleteIt's our own Uncrushable Jersey Dress, if you will...
When do we fall into a canal?
ReplyDeleteYou stand next to one and I'll push you.
ReplyDeleteI still need to find a restaurant that will serve profiteroles for Betty JoDee, Betty Ross, Hon. Betty Henry (I'm sure he'll go for full status, but he's just an honorable for now) on Bettysday.
ReplyDeleteAfter tea at The Four Seasons, we may not need dinner, but we'll definitely need the profiteroles. (Lashings of whipped cream are implied, of course.)
I am a notorious hater of whipped cream (I know, I know) so mine can be naked (oops, so not a Betty word). Can anyone recall her ever using the word?
ReplyDeleteI'm working on the gloves (only to the wrist bone, right?).
I'm so sad I can't crash the party. Wednesday is Bible study day, and I am a group leader. But we will be going to our local Victorian Tea Shoppe to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteBetty JoDee -- Not to worry; no whipped cream for you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like so much fun... down in LA, can't drive up for afternoon tea!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to rescue a kitten or mongrel dog or grubby children who've gotten lost in an abandoned, condemned warehouse....in celebration of Betty's birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'll probably really just make scones though -- 2 kids, soccer practices, tae kwon do practices, yadayadayada...and re-read some Bettys, of course!
ReplyDelete(And working in the high school library that day too, where Betty Neels might as well be written in Greek.......for all the comprehension it would get, LOL!)
